Welcome to Benengeli 2024!

Benengeli 2024, International Week of Literature in Spanish, is a festival to promote literature in Spanish around the globe.

The Instituto Cervantes in Sydney, which is participating again in the Benengeli Festival, is hosting the visit of the Spanish author Jordi Gracia in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Australia and New Zealand as well as the Australian National University (ANU), La Trobe, Auckland University of Technology and Massey University to bring Benengeli 2024 to Sydney, Canberra, Auckland and Wellington.

The event in Canberra (ANU) is carries out in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Australia, the Australian National University (ANU) and La Trobe. The event language will be Spanish. Catering with drinks will be offer at the end of the event.

Author: Jordi Gracia, Professor of Spanish literature at the University of Barcelona and Deputy Director of El País and co-director of TintaLibre (Barcelona, España).

Moderator: Dr. Fabricio Tocco, Lecturer in Spanish and the Convenor of Portugese at the Australian National University (ANU).
